The Work
Life

This photograph was made in several attempts. I always came back to watch how light behaved at different times. I would go into the water each time. I was barely able to keep my head and the camera tripod out of the water. Thousands of bats flew around me, I was very cold and thought that nothing different came about the light but I was nonetheless happy to be there, appeasing my curiosity. All of sudden some ray of lights came through, almost mystical in nature, and the cave walls were painted gold. These feelings of gratitude and humility before such magnificence cannot be translated onto the image but this is my best try.
