Pepe Soho arrives with a proposal to induce visitors to contemplate, live and be part of a work of art. A spiritual journey of sounds and deep connection with nature, your country and your life experiences.
Mystika, located in Mexico City, is a one-of-a-kind sensory experience, designed to take the viewer on a journey of connection with Mayan cosmology, the most impressive natural sanctuaries in Mexico and the spiritual power of horses: totems of healing, wisdom and evolution.
Through the artist's lens, we will see the imposing ruins of Tulum under a starry sky. This immersive experience will take us into the solar system to contemplate interstellar objects and cosmic events of our galaxy based on the Mayan calendar. A sensory journey inside a 360º dome.
A sensory space to contemplate the great pyramid of Chichen Itza on a starry night. A piece that reflects the communion with the stars and nature, allowing us to connect with a state of deep peace.
It is an installation made through different scenes recorded in the Lacandon Jungle in Chiapas, where thousands of swallows, during the summer, shelter their nests in the caverns that form behind the lush waterfalls. The artist offers an audiovisual narration of surreal scenes and multi-sensory sound that recreate a fantastic world and celebrate the miracle of life.
Pepe Soho pays tribute to this majestic animal that led him through a period of healing and self-discovery. The artist reminds us that the wound of our present brings us wisdom and makes us evolve. The installation consists of a large format image that comes to life so that we can appreciate the spiritual power that horses have.
It is a key piece in terms of the content that the artist wants to share with his public, always committed to making us great, to freeing us, to transforming us. The artist uses the image of the monarch butterfly as a metaphor of detachment, of leaving behind certain states that represent a burden and hinder the continuous transformation that is the human being. It is an experience that stirs the depths of our consciousness, bringing clarity and pushing us to awaken the maximum of our capacities.
Doors are an iconic symbol in the artist's work. They represent the passage to another state of consciousness, the passage to another form or higher way of life. Through this portal, the artist Pepe Soho invites us to visualize and decree everything we want in our lives. The installation encourages the viewer to enter into a dialogue with himself and connect with his deepest self to attract what he wants, even taking it for granted once he crosses the threshold, thus marking a significant change in his spiritual state.
Pepe Soho pays homage to nature and transports the viewer to the most emblematic sanctuaries in Mexico: the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary in Michoacán, the Humpback Whale Sanctuary in Baja California Sur and the Firefly Sanctuary in Tlaxcala. When we left this facility we felt amazed and eager to take care of the environment in which we live day by day.
